Post Hospital Recovery

Upon discharge, usually a minimum stay of 7 – 10 days is required for follow up care, physical therapy (for joint replacement patients), follow-up tests and suture removal.  Our doctors want to make sure you have enough time to recover before starting your journey home. Blood thinners and support stockings are preventative therapy routinely issued to joint replacement patients and heart patients to manage the threat of blood clots on the return journey.  Departure day brings a final consultation with the surgeon, good-byes and the drive to the airport. Boomer Health Travel stays connected with you the entire stay via email and mobile phone.  We encourage patients to bring a lap top as all of our lodging and hospitals have wireless internet.  It’s the best way to stay in touch with friends and family.
