Passports and Visas

The patient and any traveling companion must both have Passports.  If you don’t have a passport it may take up to six weeks to obtain one unless you pay an extra $150 to speed the process.  Medical Visas are required for most countries and take an additional week, once you have the Passport.  In some cases, the foreign consulate requires a letter from the treating physician which Boomer Health Travel obtains.  The cost of Visas with overnight express charges is usually about $100.  Your passport must accompany the visa application.  Our patient services director coordinates this process for every patient and accomplishes the task most efficiently. Once you’ve got your visa, our patient services director confirms a surgery date, arranges pre and post hospital accommodations and finds the most convenient air routing and best fares for your final determination. A typical surgery is booked two months out, but can be faster if necessary and the patient already has a Passport.  The shortest time necessary is three weeks.  We make it simple and easy so you have no worries.
