What’s A Boomer To Do?

We are 77-million Americans born between 1944 and 1964.  Canada claims some 10-million more, a third of its population. Our older members have now reached 65 and qualify for Medicare. The rest of us often find shrinking or vanishing employer health policies giving way to individual policies, if we can find an affordable plan and we have no pre-conditions. If we have pre-conditions we’re screwed! Many of us no longer have health insurance because of the cost. In Canada, a shortage of physicians and wait times mean the National Health system is not the utopian ideal. Canadians don’t have the option of private health care. We wait for reform. What’s a Boomer to do? Spend our retirement nest egg on overpriced US medical treatment or travel to quality Healthcare and save up to 80% of US costs!
